Updated Visa Requirements for American, Australian, and Canadian Passport Holders

The Brazilian Government has postponed the need for Australian, Canadian and American citizens to have a valid Visa to enter Brazil from April 10th 2024 to April 9th, 2025. Citizens from those countries will NOT need a visa to enter Brazil for the IACAPAP 2024 Congress.

Visas

All participants must hold valid identification and travel documents before entering Brazil. Each participant is responsible for arranging their own visa, if required.

Itamaraty (the Ministry of Foreign Affairs) is the body of the Brazilian government responsible for granting visas, which occurs through the Embassies, General Consulates, Consulates and Vice consulates of Brazil abroad.

It is strongly recommend that all participants check as soon as possible the rules for entering Brazil from their respective countries/passport on which they will travel to Brazil. If a visa is required, we also strongly recommend that visas be requested at least two months before traveling.
