MARÍA SOLEDAD BURRONE
I am a Medical Doctor, with a Master of Public Health and a PhD in Medicine (2017), with training in biostatistics, epidemiology and quali-quantitative research. I have experience in epidemiological and public health research, with a focus on community mental health. I have been involved in teaching and academic activities as part of undergraduate courses and postgraduate specialties, masters and doctoral programs. To date, I have published 15 scientific articles as the first author and more than 55 articles overall. Also, I am a co-author of 10 book chapters and more than 145 presentations at national and international scientific conferences. My research focuses on community approaches to promote the inclusion of people with severe mental disorders and autistic people. I have participated in several research projects in Argentina and Chile. Currently, I am a Professor at the Institute of Health Sciences, University of O‘Higgins, Chile.
