I am an accomplished Child and Adolescent Psychiatry specialist and Associate Professor at Faculty of Medicine, Balıkesir University, Turkey. I am currently head of the department of child and adolescent psychiatry. I manage psychiatric evaluations of children and adolescents and provides resident training and medical school education.

I completed my residency in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Ege University and pursued my doctorate in Neuroscience from the same institution. I ranked 6th among 10,000 medical doctors in the Residency Exam for Medical Doctors in April 2013. I have held positions at the İzmir Dr. Behçet Uz Pediatrics Research and Training Hospital and Elazığ Fethi Sekin City Hospital as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Specialist. I was awarded the Erasmus Program for Internship at Porto University in Portugal and a research program for ADHD in Hospital de Clinicas, Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. In September 2017, i received the Helmut Remschmidt Research Seminar Award in Prague, Czech Republic. In March 2022, I participated in the 13th HOPE Meeting with Nobel Laureates organized by Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). I have co-authored several research articles that have been published in reputable international journals like Pediatrics, Psychiatry Research, and European Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. I wrote several book sections about child and adolescent psychiatry for professionals and families.
